Walking guided city tour of the old town.
Korcula, the town and port on an island of the same name, could be called a Dubrovnik in miniature.
Situated at the most strategic point of the island, along ancient sea trade routes, it has always attracted travelers and settlers.
Visit the gothic-renaissance cathedral of St Marc which was built by local craftsman of stone masonry and inside you will find 2 Jacopo Tintoreto's paintings. Visit to Korcula's Bishop Palace and Treasury on the main square. There is a small but amazing collection of fine art and sacral art, including a Portrait of a Man by Carpaccio, Virgin and Child by Bassano, some Raphael drawings and also a Leonardo da Vinci sketch of a soldier wearing a costume that bears a resemblance to that of the Moreska dancers. There are many palaces and churches to be seen on our walk through. Stop at the City Museum and the alleged birth place of Marco Polo. Entrance tickets to Marco Polo's house and Treasury included.

LUNCH: AT LESIC DIMITRI HOTEL (www.lesic-dimitri.com)
restaurant in Korcula Old Town - the meal is a combination of old tastes and new traditions paired with two local wines!
